For bars · The Goose

The system behind the world’s largest by-the-glass sool bar.

Tabs on your floor plan, every open bottle tracked to the glass, members and points, and a guest menu that sells what’s open first. On iPads, connected to the Toss Place POS.

Today it runs one bar: ours. We built it for Namsan, and we’re looking for a few bars to take it further with.

What it does

Built in a working bar, every night.

Not a demo. Everything here runs Namsan’s service right now.

Tabs

One tap per drink

Seats, merges and comps on the floor plan. Sends to the POS to print and pay, in the guest’s language.

Lost Soldiers

Every open bottle

What’s left and how long it has. Glasses rung on a tab pour it down; the next bottle opens itself.

Guest menu

Sells what’s open

iPads for guests: the full list, open bottles first, and a recommender that starts from what they already like.

Members

Points and perks

Tiers, points, a welcome glass, the birthday glass. You set the rules; the iPad keeps them.

Tonight

Know your night

Guests, local vs global, drinks and takings live, and a recap at closing against your target.

Crew

Clock and schedule

Time clock, the weekly schedule and a payroll export.

Toss Place POS

Keep your Toss Place POS. The Goose plugs into it.

Namsan runs on Toss Place, and we built the connection ourselves: a plugin on the bar’s POS and Toss Place’s Open API. Same counter, same card reader, same printer. The crew ring each drink once, in the Goose.

Send to the POS

The tab lands on its table on the POS, every drink as one of your own POS menu items. Korean guests get a Korean bill, everyone else an English one. Free glasses and comps go as 0 ₩ lines, points as a discount.

Pay on the POS

Card or cash, as always. Once Toss Place takes the payment, the Goose closes the tab with what was paid and credits the member with the points and the visit.

Every order counts

Drinks rung straight on the POS reach the Goose within a minute: glasses pour down the open bottle, bottles sold come off stock. At closing it checks every Toss Place tab against its own.

Toss Place is Toss Place’s product, not ours. The Goose works alongside it through the plugin and Open API that Toss Place offers developers.

Who we’re looking for

Bars with a long list by the glass.

  • Sool, sake, natural wine and whisky bars
  • One or two iPads behind the counter
  • On Toss Place POS: we connect it, as we did ours
